We started Welkom Homes in 2011 out of a personal desire to share our home and connect with new friends. As often as we’ve traveled we found that we had to sacrifice either design or nature in our accommodations, so we set out to create spaces that celebrate both. We are a family owned small business and manage every aspect of our homes, from building, to design, to managing and welcoming guests. Manchester is a town in southern Vermont. Hildene, the estate of Abraham Lincoln’s son Robert, has a Georgian Revival mansion, gardens and a farm. The American Museum of Fly Fishing displays rods, flies and angling-related art. Nearby, the Southern Vermont Arts Center has varied exhibits, a sculpture garden and a performance space, plus sprawling grounds with forest paths. West of town, a trail climbs Mount Equinox.
